Huawei chose DHL as its Hungarian logistics partner

08.03.2012. – DHL and Huawei Technologies signed a long term strategic cooperation agreement on logistics services in several countries globally, among them in Hungary as well. From January 2012 DHL Supply Chain Magyarország Kft. (DSC) provides logistics services for the new unit of Huawei Technologies Hungary European Supply Centre in Cserkút, near Pécs (SW Hungary).

Thanks to the fruitful global cooperation between the two companies, Huawei chose DHL as its Hungarian logistics partner.

The preferential pricing DSC offered Huawei due to its international presence on the market, the vast experience DHL holds in production logistics, its reliability, unique bundling of quality service capacity, personalized and quick solutions led to the establishment of the partnership. DHL supplies Huawei’s European Supply Centre’s contracted units in Pécs (SW Hungary) and in Komárom (NW Hungary) with raw materials required for the production.
Among other logistics service providers DHL’s all divisions – DHL Supply Chain, DHL Freight, DHL Express and DHL Global Forwarding – are responsible for handling the finished products, packaging, customs services, road transportation and ocean freight forwarding.

“In our two central warehouse facilities community and customs goods are received through completely personalized procedures and IT-systems and stored in accordance with the required specialized needs after thorough quality and quantity control. 24-hours a day production lines are served continuously from our central warehouses to ensure that goods reach the production line within 4 to 24 hours after the order has been received. Naturally inland transportation and custom services are part of the process as well.” – said Ferenc Ujszászi, business development director at DHL Supply Chain Hungary.
DSC’s Hungarian warehouses handle raw and finished materials of wireless, mobile transmission and telecommunication devices of tens of millions of dollars value on a monthly basis. With these assignments DSC created 80 new jobs and enlarged its 80 000 m2 warehouse capacity with further 10 000 m2.
“We are constantly striving to serve the sector-specific needs of our clients in the most efficient way possible. – indicated by Balázs Janositz, managing director of DHL Supply Chain Hungary.
